Creator of fast.bi platform and passionate about data automation
I'm genuinely passionate about technology, especially when it comes to automation. If I see a repetitive task, my brain immediately starts thinking "how can we automate this?" It's probably a bit obsessive, but I believe our time is better spent on creative problem-solving than manual grunt work.
Over the past couple of years, I've been building an open-source data development platform called fast.bi. While it originated during my time at Terasky, it was really born from my own ideological vision of how data development should work. It's been a labor of love and represents how I think about solving real problems in our field.
I'll be honest about my working style: I'm a bit of a perfectionist who works until things are done right, often losing track of time in the process. It's probably not the healthiest habit, but when I commit to something, I see it through to the end.
Fair warning: I can be passionate when we’re weighing options — because I care deeply about outcomes. With clients, that energy becomes clear, data-backed recommendations and fast iteration. I listen first, align to your goals and constraints, and adjust quickly based on feedback so we get to the right solution with minimal friction.
When I'm not buried in code or data pipelines, you'll find me on my adventure bike, tackling mountain trails and offroad paths where most people wouldn't dare take their bikes. There's something about navigating uncharted territory that parallels what we do in data – finding paths where others see obstacles.
Fast.BI is a comprehensive data platform that unifies data replication, transformation, orchestration, governance, and visualization in a single, powerful solution. Built on proven open-source technologies with enterprise-grade automation and integration.
